Norwegian offshore vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore has once again prolonged its collaboration with Wintershall Dea, securing an additional contract extension for its renowned platform supply vessel (PSV) Viking Princess.

This financial strength has prompted significant dealmaking activities in the sector, as demonstrated by recent major acquisitions by Exxon Mobil Corp. and Chevron Corp., which collectively exceeded $100 billion.

Wintershall Dea, with a 40 percent interest, operates the well in conjunction with Cheiron Energy and INA, holding 40 percent and 20 percent interests, respectively.

This issue has escalated, with political divisions arising between various parties regarding the immediate cessation of the derogation.

The dispute encompasses crews on Equinor’s Mariner platform and TAQA platforms, which include Harding, Tern Alpha, East Brae, Brae Alpha, and the North Cormorant.

The cluster encompasses three fields, namely Abu, Abu Kecil, and Abu SW Upthrown, with a combined estimated reserve of 5 million stock tank barrels.

The decision to sell these vessels aligns with the company's current restructuring agreement and the demands of its lenders. Notably, all three vessels are currently engaged in operations for Shell UK.

Kallas made this assertion during a meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Brussels on October 26.
