    ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGEMENT required by our Client, to be assigned on a short term contract basis, located in Houston, TX. Duration:3 months POSITION SCOPE This 20-year old company provides engineering, project management, geological, regulatory, and procurement services primarily to companies using hazardous waste injection and storage wells. Similar services are provided to petroleum industry, carbon capture/sequestration projects (some government funded), and users of wells for waste disposal. Projects are mainly in the continental United States, but French ownership, with worldwide operations, affords high potential for international assignments. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Engineer will be primarily responsible for consulting with clients about existing well problems and new installations, analyzing problems and recommending solutions, contacting potential vendors and producing cost estimates, assisting with procurement of services, supervising projects on site, and completing reports for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies. Projects including drilling new wells, sidetracking/recompleting existing wells, stimulation and cleaning of wells to improve performance, and repair of wells with failed equipment. The ability to travel for extended periods is an absolute necessity. Specifically, the Engineer will: Prepare detailed cost estimates for inpidual projects; Prepare detailed procedures for projects including: acid treatment, wireline diagnostics, coiled tubing, workover, drilling, and sidetracking; Solicit bids and pre-qualify potential vendors; Analyze bid, select, and contract project vendors; Supervise site work; Manage project costs, prepare out-of-scope documents, and meet with clients to discuss project cost and progress; Interact with regulatory agency personnel; Prepare final reports on projects for submittal to client and regulatory agencies.
