    Job Description

    Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

    An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team, where you will ensure all engineering works are done promptly, efficiently and to the correct standard to minimise plant downtime, coupled with a proactive approach to breakdown reduction and yield improvement.

    Key areas of responsibility:

    - To contribute to the engineering strategy for the site and the business as a whole

    - To look for ways to constantly deliver increasing operational and business performances and product quality

    - To ensure continuous improvement projects are seen through to a successful conclusion

    - Ensure the completion of the PPM tasks and formulate improved maintenance practices

    - Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a timely fashion, ensuring the smooth running of the Engineering Request System

    - To actively champion health & safety, ensuring that a safe working environment exists for all employees and that as a minimum it meets the standards set out in the company's health and safety and environmental policies

    - To uphold and exceed standards of food safety and hygiene ensuring all work areas are tidy, adopting a "clean-as-you-go" approach at all times

    - To be proactive in identifying and eliminating faulty processes by implementing long-term fixes

    - To uphold and exceed standards of product quality and GMP within the area, appropriate to an industry-leading quality food manufacturer

    - To play an active role in daily shift meetings. To be the driving force behind team communication, sharing best practice at all times

    - To be aware of budget and stock control and maintain shift paperwork to a high standard

    - To adhere to the Engineering Charter regulations, ensuring the standards of behaviour are upheld at all times

    Skills and Experience:

    - Experience of working in a similar role with relevant engineering qualifications

    - Previous manufacturing experience

    - Ability to understand a manufacturing process, analyse inputs and outputs of the process and be able to draw up plans to continually improve performance, both in efficiency and quality

    - Ability to communicate at all business levels, with good overall commercial awareness

    - Good analytical problem-solving approach and numerical capability

    - Good written and verbal communication skills

    - Able to balance day to day with the plan ahead

    - IT literate

    - Use of computers; CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System); production equipment within the factory; PPE

    Hours:

    7 to 7, both days and nights, on a shift rota basis and will include weekend working

    Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Contracts & Procurement Advisor, based in Sussex.

    Job Description

    A good working knowledge of standard forms such as ICE, NEC and FIDIC; their use and pitfalls, would be required by any candidate. An established track record at the highest level in the provision of Technical Advice in the PFI/PPP/P3 area is absolutely essential for this position.

    The position involves significant work within the area known as the Private Finance Initiative (or Public Private Partnerships in Europe or P3 in US) in the UK, Ireland and overseas. Therefore the work is varied and interesting. Once established in the Team you will be responsible with others for the ongoing bidding for work; market tracking and development of opportunity; Client relationships and especially the ongoing need for advice to Clients and Lenders for the projects upon which you work.

    The work involves tight deadlines and requires extensive report writing. A significant and demanding part of the work is associated with and entails dialogue with those who provide the finance or legal advice for implementation of projects; therefore an ability to be able to talk carefully and knowledgeably to non engineers about complex civil engineering issues is essential.

    Skills & Experience

    - Good team player within a multi-disciplinary environment, but able to work on own initiative and under pressure when necessary.

    - Good communicator at all levels, both verbally and in writing

    - Ability to convey information accurately with attention to detail

    - Ability to deal with clients in a friendly, efficient and effective way

    - Financially aware.

    - Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn, develop and widen experience

    This is a permanent position.

    The salary for this position is negotiable.
