Evaluate where standardisation may be applied to process designs of similar process units and extend this philosophy to cover equipment and services to reduce inventories and cost of services. • Undertake necessary studies to determine the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the selected offshore facilities to achieve established objectives. • Participate in peer, value engineering, and gate reviews at appropriate milestones during the development of projects to ensure compliance with the approved conceptual designs in order to eliminate future variation orders during implementation phase of projects. • Conduct lifecycle cost analysis/cost estimation for developments and submit a comparison table of various options with preliminary recommendation to the Assistant Manager Offshore Project Development. • Review all Annual Work Program and Budget (WP&B) submissions & monitor work plan implementation progress and expenditures. • Participate in joint activities with client partners to review offshore infrastructure integrity issues and any other problematic areas related to the offshore operation of fields. • Maintain technical data base to be used as reference for future development as validation and benchmarking tools for new business evaluation opportunities • Assist in developing of proper procedures, processes, and controls for project development, monitoring and benchmarking. • Support setting up commercial / fiscal agreements and economics evaluation by making sure the facilities inputs (CAPEX/OPEX/Facilities configuration) meet client expectations • Coordinate with other functional groups both in and outside the department to support Asst. Manager, Offshore Projects Development to manage interfaces between all offshore Oil & Gas operators/projects.     FOUNDATIONS INSTALLATION MANAGER - OFFSHORE required by our client, to be hired on a contract basis, located in London. Duration: 12 Months POSITION SCOPE The Foundations Installation Manager is a critical role within the Offshore Business focusing on the delivery of Foundation Installation, working with Multinational Joint Venture Partner(s) and Contractors ensuring that position is suitably protected at any agreements. The Foundation Installation Manager will be responsible for defining installation strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating and managing small-scale offshore installation contracts, planning and implementing installation and logistics, including management of offshore contractors and associated interfaces, ensuring quality, best practices and excellent H&SE performance are applied. The inpidual will be working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in Europe and during development, contracting and delivery of small-scale installation. The inpidual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES Main duty of this role for the job holder is to be directly responsible for the Foundation Installation Tender with the Installation and Logistic Lead and act as a deputy of the Installation and Logistic Lead. Delivery of small-scale installation projects with a number of interfaces and coordination to manage. Ensure installation is delivered on time, to budget and quality following the highest industry practice and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety and Environment. Implement offshore standards, procedures, tools, best practices and quality requirements. Ensure the delivery of installation works is appropriate and consistent the specification, budget and timetable without compromising safety. Define, implement and resource the appropriate organisational structure for managing installation works. Prepare installation for the execution phase including contracting offshore equipment, delivery companies, onshore facilities, harbours, consultants, H&SE and quality plans, etc... Provide key and strategic advice, assessment and recommendations to the business giving input and support to the projects throughout the whole life cycle (development to decommissioning). Provide input on appropriate bid levels / programme strategies / commercial strategies / commercial agreements relative to projects. Provide key input in the preparation of investment dossiers for all funding requests for projects. Work with the HSE team to develop HSE strategy for installation works and ensure a high standard of health and safety awareness is maintained. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline - Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering or Naval Architectural. Postgraduate experience in industry with significant experience in Offshore Wind. IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software. Flexible to travel around Europe. Travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in many countries thought northern Europe, particularly Germany, France, Spain and UK. Relevant experience in offshore delivery planning and set up. Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated with offshore/marine installation. Knowledge of offshore procedures, standards and guides. Experience in managing high skilled teams. IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
