    My client is one of the leading international engineering, construction and project management contractor and power equipment suppliers in Europe. At present, they have a project based in Germany that needs the support for HSE Site supervisor.

    The relevant HSE Site supervisor will be responsible for providing support to site operations


    Responsibilities
    • This role oversees the HSE activity on specific industrial contracts and interfaces between the various EPC Contractors, Client & Operations, exchange of information, data and tie-ins
    • Technical HSE Disciplines (Loss Prevention, Process / Design Safety, Fire Systems, Environment & Sustainability)
    • Co-ordination of the EPC Contractor HSE performance
    • Co-ordination of the project level Assurance, Process Safety, Fire Systems and Environment & Sustainability functions
    • Responsible for project HSE Compliance and overall project Technical HSE performance
    • Establishment/implementation of project HSE training programme
    • Provide strong and consistent safety leadership
    • Act as the Site security point of contact


    Qualifications
    Experience in HSE (years ) : 5-10
    Experience in the HSE profession within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred other industries will be considered.
    EPC and PMC experience, preferably site based HSE management roles.
    Relevant first, and preferably, further degree level qualifications covering Engineering, then Process / Design Safety and / or Environmental disciplines
    Significant experience in one or more of the Technical HSE Disciplines

    Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a site-based HSE Advisor, preferably with significant experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry, to work for us in Newport, South Wales. The HSE Advisor will assist the Amec Foster Wheeler Construction Management team and Client HSSE Manager to deliver a world-class safety performance on the project, for a period of 11 months.

    You will be expected to work closely with the various construction contractors to ensure their understanding of, and performance against, the requirements of the project HSSE Management System.

    The project is based across various locations within an operating plant so experience of brownfield sites, operator Permit to Work Systems and the full sweep of construction disciplines, e.g. Civil, Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation, etc., is highly desirable.

    The required HSE Advisor will be able to demonstrate:

    Good communication skills

    The ability and desire to engage with and coach construction operatives in safe work practices, etc.

    Experience in the use of; Live plant Permit to Work Systems

    Behavioural based safety systems

    Web-based data management systems

    OSHA Recordkeeping requirements

    Basic computer skills, (e.g., comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite, e-mail, etc.)

    For preference, the HSE Advisor should be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma standard and have worked in a similar role within the oil & gas industry
