Key Features of the Role: You will identify, develop and implement quality, health, safety and environmental initiatives in support of business needs and work closely with Regional Management, Corporate QHSE and site personnel to implement initiatives. You will travel to satellite facilities based outside the USA to conduct inspections, audits, assessments and investigations in conjunction with written QHSE programs to facilitate the promotion of continuous improvement, travel is anticipated to be 40% of your time You will manage corrective and preventative action requests to ensure effective and timely close out from the site management. You will prepare and deliver QHSE orientation, training and job site procedures and direct or assist in the development of specialized education and training materials. You will work with operational management to establish project specific Quality Control Plans, procedures and standards to ensure the customer requirements are met. You will advise and intervene on unsafe acts and violations of QHSE practices and conduct accident/incident investigation and work with management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize future recurrences. You will assist in managing workplace injury and workers’ compensation case management, maintain documentation and prepare QHSE reports. Ideally previous experience in a similar role as a QHSE Co-ordinator and be a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) which would be desirable. Ideally you will have in-depth knowledge of OSHA, USACE EM 385 1-1, EPA, NFPA, workers’ compensation regulations and standards. experience with Quality Tools (FMEA, DMAIC etc) Ideally experience with root cause analysis and incident investigation and qualifications /experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO45001 and a knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations is preferable.
