    Key Requirements

    The successful candidate will have: • A University degree in Geophysics, Physics or similar science related subject essential. • Minimum of 10 years’ oil and gas industry experience essential. • Strong background in Depth Imaging essential. • A minimum of 8 years in a senior capacity in a seismic processing environment essential – preferably in a Depth Imaging Team Lead, Supervisor or Managerial role. • Experience of working with key depth imaging software essential – e.g. Paradigm’s, Geodepth, DUG’s Insight, Shearwater’s Reveal CGG GeoVation etc. • Excellent client facing skills – an ability to engage and gain the respect of all stakeholders. • Previous experience working for a geophysical contractor in a busy environment desired. Oil operator experience advantageous. • Strong project management experience essential – ability to direct and organise project schedules effectively and the ability to prioritise competing demands, focus, and make decisions. • Proven ability to coordinate several teams with multiple concurrent projects. • High-level competency with a variety of seismic data and geophysical techniques. • There may be periods of excess volumes of work! - Willingness to do hands-on work is required. • Up to date knowledge of relevant geophysical developments is key. • A good listener and problem solver. • Previous experience supporting, mentoring more junior staff highly advantageous. • Keen interest in knowledge transfer and a passion to continuously develop skills team members. • Proactive in keeping abreast of industry trends, challenges and new geophysical technologies and services. • Strong communication skills – ability to clearly convey information and technical content internally, to partners and clients. • Must be service orientated.

    Job Overview: A leading global provider of geophysical marine seismic acquisition and processing services seeks a Depth Imaging Supervisor to augment their expanding services. You will oversee Depth Imaging activities and projects for teams under your supervision in a timely and professional manner. Applicants are invited with 10+ years’ oil and gas industry experience with a minimum of 8 years in a senior capacity in a seismic processing environment– preferably in a Depth Imaging Team Lead, Supervisor or Managerial role. The role offers a varied and exciting opportunity for an inpidual with the ambition to drive advanced geophysical technologies and skills and to develop their own managerial capacities further. This well established global Company holds an enviable reputation for providing processing advanced depth imaging services. They process and re-process land and marine seismic data by combining the latest processing software with experienced geophysicists and efficient hardware to deliver a unique proposition to their clients. Their onboard and onshore processing teams provide clients with the expertise and service to achieve the highest quality 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging. The Company is highly focused on research and development, striving to deliver the best geophysical technologies for a unique and winning service. In this role you will interact closely with their R&D Team, sharing your expertise in the Depth Imaging domain and also keeping abreast of new technologies being developed in the market. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Depth Imaging Manager your key tasks and responsibilities will include: • Become competent in the Company’s technologies, processes and practices. • Build good working relationships with all your internal peers – i.e. Team Leaders and the Geophysicists within their teams, Time Imaging Manager, Depth Imaging Manager, other Depth Imaging Supervisors and Geophysical Advisors and Consultants (Geophysicists and Interpreters). • Be proactive in building relationships of trust with clients – become a respected and recognised player for imaging services. • Oversee the Depth Imaging activities and projects for teams under your supervision. • Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure all projects are completed to a high professional standard and in a timely manner. • Support Team Leaders and Depth Imagers to ensure successful client meetings that include effective presentations and a high standard of technical content. • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Geophysicists. • Manage project costs by ensuring efficient management of projects. • Actively promote both Time and Depth Imaging (and other service capabilities) by building a reputation for quality and timely delivery of projects. • Assist in development of the Company’s imaging software by cooperating and liaising with R&D, IT/Systems etc. • Help promote effective coordination between processing teams (including offshore) to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and best practice. • Comment on present imaging standards and techniques to ensure increased efficiencies in the future. • HSE Responsibilities: # Ensure safety and efficiency is considered at all times in all activities relating to the teams under your supervision. # Ensure that the teams under your supervision meet internal and external QHSE regulations. # Participate in the maintenance of content in the HSE management system. • Quality Responsibilities: # Create an environment such that all staff are committed to quality. # Ensure that appropriate quality control is undertaken for each project. • Training and Staff Management: # Propose training and development opportunities to line management. # Organise the training and development of staff on depth imaging techniques and practices. # Participate in staffing, recruitment and succession plan for junior positions. # Conduct staff appraisals for Team Leaders, liaising with your line manager. # Provide personal leadership and support to the teams under your supervision.
