    A leading and well-established Information Management Company in the global oil and gas industry seeks an experienced Environmental Data Business Analyst to work at an oil operator client site for a 9 month contract. Working closely with the Business Units, you will provide advice and guidance pertaining to environmental data; its application, integration with other system, workflows, outputs etc. Applicants are invited with experience of Environmental Data, Emissions and/or Methane Data with the ability to provide advice and project manage some ongoing projects. Working at an oil operator site for 9 months, you will actively seek to improve environmental data insights and workflows and processes.     We are looking to hear from candidates with substantial expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: • management, mitigation and monitoring of environmental impacts and risks associated with offshore energy activities, including operating facilities, drilling, decommissioning and / or seismic operations; • environmental impact / risk assessment; • ecological monitoring in relation to oil spills; • oil preparedness and response planning; • marine science including ecology and biology; and • climate science and emissions management. As an Environment Specialist, you will: • provide specialist technical skills and advice to, and on behalf of, the Authority; • represent NOPSEMA and engage with industry and other stakeholders; • develop and maintain robust internal and external procedures, guidelines and standards relating to the regulation and management of risk; • support NOPSEMA’s environmental management regulatory functions, contributing to regulatory decision-making. As an Environment Officer, you will: • assess Environment Plans, Offshore Project Proposals and associated documents as part of an assessment team; • provide support in maintaining regulatory processes and support to assessment and inspection teams; • undertake analysis and research of environmental performance and make recommendations to NOPSEMA on the appropriate regulatory response; and • undertake regulatory improvement projects as required.
