    Wood are currently recruiting for a Graduate Instrumentation Engineer to work in our al-Khobar office. Graduates will get opportunity to work in the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas industry as we look to meet our Client's needs and exceed their expectations in the conceptual engineering studies, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and PMC Projects. The objective of the Graduate Development programme is to develop Saudi national graduate engineers to the international standards of the Oil & Gas industry and to support the Wood projects in Saudi Arabia.

    The overall duration of the programme is planned for two years, during which Saudi national graduate engineers will go through a structured development programme. Successful completion of this programme shall allow graduates to obtain necessary knowledge and skills to become recognized professional engineers in Oil & Gas Industry.

    At the same time the proposed graduate development programme and graduate engineers shall be registered in the Engineering Institution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as per the requirements of in country legislation and work practices.

    Qualifications

    - Fresh graduate with an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering degree

    - Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal)

    - Well adept in utilizing MS Office

    - Good communication, reporting and presentation skills

Experience/Qualifications Required • Minimum 10 years varied experience in the installation, maintenance and fault finding of electronics and pneumatic instruments and control system in the petrochemical industry. • Experience of operating within the framework of overall maintenance programmes, determining the actual work content of corrective maintenance work requests and setting priorities for work within monthly programmes. • Experience of operating in accordance with maintenance policy and applicable technical and industry standards, referring major problems, usually non-technical to the Senior Maintenance Operation Engineer / OIS. Work is subject to review. • Experience of monitoring the use of contractors and controls on-site DCS/Instrument work undertaken by contractors. • Experience of explaining procedures at the “permit to work” stage, coordinates such work with the Corporation’s personnel within the Section, requests assistance from other trades if and when required.     Responsibilities

    - Set disciplined leadership by sharing best practices that are unconventional yet safe, proper and fit for purpose engineering. Think outside the conventional box to achieve cost effective approaches

    - Achieve targets and initiatives assigned to the Instrumentation function

    - Contribute to all safety design processes including HAZAN, HAZOP, SIL Classification and Safety Lifecycle

    - Organize, monitor and report on assigned work scope

    - Participate in the technical assessment and ratification of bids from prospective contractors and vendors

    - Interact with Client, company management and other disciplines to develop the control, safety and monitoring systems and instrumentation philosophies per the above criteria

    - Develop FEED packages suitable for Client review, Contractor bidding and selection

    - Review all relevant other discipline documentation and participate in the development of the P&IDs

    - Issue material requisitions to the Procurement Department for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions

    - Prepare the Master Requisition Index and update and issue it on a regular basis

    - Review Vendors' quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor, in conjunction with Materials Management Department commercial quotation evaluation

    - Approve Order Variation Summaries

    - Hold coordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required, and carry out technical investigations and produce technical reports, engineering standards and procedures

    - Assist in the development and training of Client's personnel, when requested

    - Review the project execution developed by the Cost and Planning Department

    Skills / Qualifications

    - Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline

    - Minimum of 15 years' instrumentation experience with 10+ years' gas plant experience

    - Held a senior level role / position for a minimum of 5 years

    - Smart Plant Instrumentation and or MS Access

    - Prior experience in developing FEEDs and Engineering Flow Diagrams (P&IDs)

    - Extensive high-pressure gas and condensate processing experience

    - Good knowledge of upstream, preferably with an appreciation of the development of onshore oil & gas facilities

    - Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is an advantage
