    Location:Singapore Based with Significant Travel Across South East Asia and the Middle East
    Duration:18 Month Contract - Possible option to Convert to Staff

    Typical working week / Month:Expect 170 to 180 hours per month whilst in Singapore
    Expect 180 - 200 + Hours Whilst Out Stationed on Project
    Estimated Monthly Earnings:Hourly Rate paid in Singapore Dollar
    Package:All Inclusive whilst in Singapore.
    Overtime, Accommodation, Transport, Meals and Airfares when on Projects Outside of Singapore

    Multiple Projects within Milk Powders - Projects in South East Asia and Beyond

    The Role

    In country: Lead Powder Systems Engineers role involving design, process and project engineering. Conceptual and best practice designs will be expected. The engineer is expected to participate in design reviews. The work will focus on the process mechanical equipment specifically powder handling systems.

    On SiteThe engineer is expected to oversee the mechanical installation whilst on site to ensure that it conforms to standards and design criteria. The engineer is then expected to oversee installation and operational qualification for the complete process. The engineer is expected to work closely with the site team to ensure a successful project. It is expected that the engineer will be onsite for 4-6 weeks at a time.

    The Requirements

    ·Ideally gained experience in the South East Asian Region
    ·Experienced to a minimum of a senior engineer's level and able to work with a high level of autonomy
    ·Degree qualified in relevant discipline i.e. Chemical, industrial, Mechanical Engineering
    ·Experience in the design review, installation and commissioning of powder handling systems
    ·Ideally experience gained within Dairy, Food or Beverage industries
    ·Maximum of a one-month notice period with current employer
    ·Flexible as regard to travel

    A leading supplier of Oilfield Services seeks a Production Chemist to work alongside their Calgary chemical partners and be responsible for the application of chemicals to enhance production both onshore and offshore. Applicants are invited with a relevant degree (ideally in Chemistry or Physical Sciences) combined with a minimum of 10 years oil and gas experience in Stimulation Chemistry. This role would be ideal for someone with strong fluid analysis experience looking for the next step in their career and who is happy to travel as required to Europe, Middle East, Calgary, Rio de Janeiro and Russia. Opportunity to work from home and all necessary technologies provided. The Company has its Headquarters in London and offers oilfield services for both conventional and unconventional oil and gas production. Working closely with their clients, which represents small independents to large operators, they partner in the enhancement of oil production. In these economically challenged times, their service solution and business model is being well received and as such they are expanding. Responsibilities: Reporting to Project Manager this role encompasses many functions including: • Become competent in the Company’s suite of services, work flows and practices. • Develop standards and procedures for chemical analysis and use. • Monitor usage of chemicals onshore and offshore and analyse against production/process data. • Undertake laboratory testing of samples sent from onshore and offshore. • Undertake analysis of fluids (crude/water/sediment etc.) • Develop, blend and test chemical products. • Undertake research and development. • Design and use a mobile chemical and fluid testing facility. • Trouble-shooting production problems. • Interact closely with the office in Calgary and the partners in Holland. • Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies relating to stimulation chemistry. • Attend relevant conferences and technical events - promoting the Company and its services. This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced oil and gas chemist who has specialized in the use of chemicals within the Stimulation and production sector of the upstream oil industry. The role offers great flexibility in that you can be based anywhere in the UK and potential for international travel.

    Type: Staff or Contract / Office, Offshore, InternationalSalary: An attractive Day Rate for the initial 2-3 month contract and then a permanent salary will be negotiated.
