    TRAINEE CAD TECHNICIAN – PERMANENT – SURREY Our Client, an international oil and gas contractor, is looking for a Trainee CAD Technician to join their team based at their office in Surrey. This is a Four-year course and a fantastic career opportunity to get into the Oil & Gas industry, which offers candidates the chance to train and grow within large corporate organisation. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: • A/AS Level Maths • Good English skills It is important to note that applicants will be required to complete a test at interview stage to assess these skills. COURSE STRUCTURE: • Year One: Full time College at Richmond College – time spent within the office during half terms and holidays. • Year Two: Office and Part time HNC Construction and Build Environment (Civils) • Year Three: Office and Part time HNC Construction and Build Environment (Civils) • Year Four: Complete training full time in house SALARY: Initially £15,000 per annum however, this will increase as and when the various stages of training have been completed, each year. ADDITIONAL: The success rate in this scheme is very high and at least 80% of the trainees are still with the company in the CAD department as well as other departments, where further training has been provided (Methods and Structural to name a few). We are instructed to only submit to our Client candidates whose qualifications and experience match client’s specification and must be able to work within the EU/UK.

    • Surveys, both onshore (site) and offshore (if required), to determine information to allow execution of low cost, repair order workscopes • During surveys/site visits communication with Operations and Maintenance personnel to ensure all requirements are fulfilled and determine any opportunities where PD&MS can provide engineering solutions to existing problems or for improving existing methods • Production of cost effective design solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both PD&MS and the Client • Preparation of requisition packages detailing material and fabrication requirements • Direct interface with fabricators from initial enquiry to final release • Construction lead review of installation methods and materials required during compilation of workpack • Preparation and compilation of construction work packs, in the company approved format, in accordance with required project plan or required issue date • Checking of other group members work and comment on same ensuring that the appropriate level of engineering checks are performed commensurate with the level of risk / cost / complexity of the repair order solution • Awareness and understanding of the business drivers within the PD&MS / Client relationship and how these can be influenced by innovative designs and minimum cost solutions. • Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner • Adherence to the company integrated management system • Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies • Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example • Ensure unsafe activities are challenged • Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems • Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example
