    Key Requirements

    Natural Resources are seeking to recruit on behalf of their client a SENIOR PETROLEUM ENGINEER for a Residential contract on married or single status based in Qatar working in our client’s INTERNATIONAL UPSTREAM & EXPLORATION DEPARTMENT being responsible for provision of petroleum engineering support for all International Upstream assets as well as exploration licenses. Such services will include review and coordination of all petroleum engineering activities of non-operated assets and providing relevant recommendation and advice; review and analysis of petroleum engineering aspects of any new opportunity; review and provide due diligence advice on petroleum engineering standards of assets and/or corporates that are targeted for acquisition. Experience/Qualifications • 15+ years of experience in petroleum engineering applications, with focus on well design, testing and completion analysis and operations • At least 5 years focused on unconventional development activities • Proficiency in data analysis and commercial petroleum engineering software and tools • Working experience in active unconventional basins in North America • BSc in Petroleum/Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline

    Natural Resources are seeking to recruit on behalf of their client a PROJECT ENGINEER SPECIALIST for a Residential contract on married or single status based in Qatar working in our client’s Project Assurance Departing responsible for leading and providing an independent and objective assessment and recommendation of future PEPS projects / commitments. Provides confidence and assurance that projects will deliver to their sanctioned business objectives in line with client business strategies, projects delivery aspects which should be adequately addressed, and risk are satisfactorily managed where the projects integrate suite of deliverables are accurate and complete enough to enable an informed decision to be made on whether projects should proceed. Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for preparation, recommendation and executing of projects assurance plan, and decision on type of review. Promotes best practice project delivery including insuring that appropriate level of Front End Loading (FEL) has been completed before a project can proceed. Ensures an effective suite of system, procedures, guidelines, tools and templates are available for assurance readiness and reviews addressing gaps as required to maximize return from project investments. Lead, coordinate, and facilitate project assurance reviews. Organize and manage experience personnel for independent review teams and lead multi-discipline team. Makes recommendations to the Gate Keeper whether projects should proceed, ready to proceed through the gate, or either should be recycled or should be cancelled. Make recommendation to the Gate Keeper if a project can bypass a gate Provides clarity of the deliverables and the maturity thereof required to pass through a gate. Review project drivers, identify business opportunity and assure business objectives compliance. Review projects plan, cost, risks, and proposed execution strategy. Identify gaps and assure full compliance to projects scope, plan, and business objectives. Responsible for recommending the business & commercial perspective and portfolio actions to maximize long term value for client Share lesson learned from projects and share knowledge among all PEPS department. Support the development of Qatari Nationals by ensuring proper job training and development. Responsible to undertake special assignments given by client management as and when required. Responsible to ensure effective communications within PEPS project stakeholders; assuring effective interface management on all projects related issues, and interface with third parties. Devise own work methods and working practices independently within the framework of established policies, standards and procedures to achieve best practice project delivery. Review, update, and endorse project relevant supporting procedures. Review and endorse department submitted assurance plans Frequent extended working hours may be required, which include out of office work. Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment. Management of sound inter-personal relationships and effective communication within CLIENT and Contractor Teams. Overseas travel for assurance reviews in remote locations Experience/Qualifications Degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University, higher degree would be advantageous Membership in a recognized professional project management association/institution would be an advantage 20 years relevant experience in engineering, project & portfolio management and execution of oil & gas projects Experience managing teams in a project portfolio environment in resource/petrochemical industry as the client/owner. Fully familiarity with industry practices of stage gate reviews and independent assurance. Experience in coordination with various discipline Engineers and project practitioners during feasibility and concept optimization studies, FEED and EPIC. Experience in implementation of international best practices in project management. Extensive skills in management and leadership, team building, effective communication, conflict resolution and presentations.
