    Job Overview: A leading global provider of geophysical marine seismic acquisition and processing services seeks a Legal Counsel to support their Legal Department due to increased business activities. Applicants are invited with a legal qualification and a minimum of 3 years PQE experience. The role offers a varied and exciting opportunity for an inpidual with the drive and ambition to develop their legal and commercial understanding and to take on more responsibilities as they progress. The Company is well established globally as a leading provider of seismic data acquisition and services. They provide superior geophysical services to their clients, meeting high standards of quality throughout the full service delivery. The Company is committed to building their legal department to ensure they have the support in place to respond to the increasing volume of business. They are strengthening their legal department to ensure compliance and to support many areas of their business operations. Responsibilities: With support from the Senior Legal and Commercial Advisor you will: • Work closely with your peers across the regional Legal Departments. • Gain insight and training as required. Preferences: The successful candidate will have: • UK recognised legal qualification essential. • A minimum of 3 years PQE experience essential. • Experience of IPR/ GDPR rules and regulations essential. • Experience of Company Law/ Contract Law desired. • Previous experience in either the oil and gas industry or maritime industry highly desired. • An understanding of or previous experience working in the Seismic Geophysical Industry highly desired. (Full training will be provided though.) • Experience in corporate and commercial law advantageous. • Experience in carrying out contract reviews desired. • Commercial and pro-active mind-set with the ability to efficiently deliver quality outcomes. • Ambitious – desire to learn and progress within the Company and take on more responsibilities. • Good spoken and written English skill essential. • Strong Team player working closely with peers in the Legal Department regionally.
