    PURPOSE • The role will focus on supplying advice and guidance to the Project Team on a wide range of contractual and legal matters during the construction of Project. • The successful candidate will carry out the role with the aim of ensuring that the Company's interests and legal rights are protected. • During the construction period the Contracts Engineer/QS will follow up and interpret contracts, agreements and legal letters and other commitments in general (such as main contracts, subcontracts, supply contracts etc.) and recommend Project Management accordingly • Manage contractual arrangements with third parties (Subcontractors or Suppliers) • Ensure upstream and downstream compliance with contractual obligations during Project execution and, where needed, supply reports to Project Management and Contracts Manager • Detect opportunities and risks during currency of the Project and find variations and changes in liaison with the Projects' Quantity Surveyors/Project Controllers • Prepare site correspondence for consideration of Project Management • Develop claims for the recovery of time and cost losses suffered by the company and recommend on all issues affecting the financial outcome of the project • Advise and follow up on Final Account until settlement EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • University degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying • Post graduate academic qualifications in Construction Law or related qualification would be preferable • Earlier experience of a minimum of 5 years in a similar position • Excellent command on English • Spoken Arabic will be asset

Experience of UKCS desired. The role is ideal for someone with 4+ years’ experience. It can be based in the Company’s Norwich or London office and will require regular visits to both and to their Great Yarmouth office.
