Key Requirements

Mandatory: to be expertly knowledgeable of testing and pre-commissioning of all types of
hydrocarbon pipelines and associated systems.

A minimum 3 years' experience with industrial gases encompassing in pre-commissioning

Preferable: to have a strong working knowledge of pre-commissioning of permanent
hydrocarbon facility systems, including electrical, instrument, telecoms and process
systems/compressors etc.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Management: some formal management training and certification is preferred.

Experience: a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the pre-commissioning of hydrocarbon
pipelines and associated facilities, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior
technical /organizational role.

Good written and spoken English language communication skills are essential.

Job Description

Must demonstrate strong commitment and provide team leadership for HSE aspects of the
pre-commissioning activities. Has primary responsibility for safety in design.

Technical performance and achievement of specifications; fit for purpose.

Provide full technical/engineering assistance to Management.

Lead, direct, and supervise pre-commissioning subcontractors and in-house team in technical and practical aspects. Site supervision as necessary.

A project managing role with strong technical and engineering skills; all aspects.

Review and technical approval of subcontracts and equipment/materials POs.

Develop and implement plans for technical personnel requirements in the institution of a
Company pre-commissioning organisation.

Be commercially aware, working within the scope and budgets for approved programme.

Plan and execute programs for preparing all procedures, method statements, and schedule,to a best industry standards, with appropriate assurance. Gain Company and Client approvals for same.

Implement philosophies and detailed plans for Company equipment and service
requirements, and its procurement, and development, interfacing with commercial group to execute.

    Wood are currently looking for a Pipelines Designer to work on the engineering and project management services for an Unconventional Gas Development Program in Saudi Arabia. We are committed to managing the program from our Al-Khobar office where the project management team will be based for the duration of the contract. This represents an excellent development opportunity for inpiduals interested to work in Saudi Arabia, with most assignments expected to be for at least six months' duration.

    We have been awarded contracts by our client for the provision of engineering and project management services for their Unconventional Gas Development Program. The program covers current field development in 3 different parts of Saudi Arabia with potential further field developments to be added later as the Program develops and expands. The Unconventional Gas development program is focused on increasing gas production via the development of shale gas and tight gas resources in the Kingdom. The new sources of gas are intended to displace middle and heavy distillate fuels currently used in power generation within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    - Prepare FEED & detailed engineering drawings of onshore oil & gas flowlines, trunklines and pipelines

    - Read, review and apply Site Topographical Survey drawings and data

    - Develop Overall Routing Maps and Layouts, Plot Plans, Pipeline Alignment sheets, LUP (Land Used Permission), Plants and Scraper Stations approach drawings, Pipeline ROW sections and details, Pipeline Trench Sections and Details

    - Develop typical drawings for Scraper Launchers & Receivers, Line Valve Stations, Tie-In sections and details and Cathodic Protection

    - Develop Typical Crossing Drawings for Highways, Asphalt Roads, Railways, Camel Roads, Wadis, Third Party Pipelines, cables and Overhead Lines
