Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for planning PEPS projects portfolio reviews with close coordination with project execution departments, and present recommendation and discussion.
Responsible to ensure sound Project business objectives are maintained in project.
Ensures an effective suite of procedures, guidelines, tools and templates are available for assurance readiness and reviews and address gaps as required to maximize return form project investments.
Responsible for review to ensure that risks are addressed, and mitigation plan are in place to ensure project objectives are achieved as planned.
Coordinate project analysis and lead a team of experienced personnel, if required, for review.
Responsible for project analysis, assess performance and provide recommendation. Review and analyse project scope, schedule, cost, risks, challenges, and establish recommendation.
Responsible for making recommendations to the execution department managers.
Review current project delivery system work process and provide recommendation from best practices. Embrace new initiatives with the objective of value creation.
Share lesson learned from projects and share knowledge among all PEPS department.
Support the development of Qatari Nationals by ensuring proper job training and development.
Responsible to undertake special assignments given by CLIENT management as and when required.
Responsible to ensure effective communications within PEPS and external project stakeholders; assuring effective interface management on all projects related issues. and share knowledge
Responsible for review of projects for making quality and effective decision in projects commitments and all aspects of projects to ensure successful execution on time and within budget.
Act as an independent opinion for project portfolio in committing CLIENT to capital projects.
Exposure to multi discipline projects in Oil and Gas and infrastructure projects.
Devise own work methods and working practices independently within the framework of established policies, standards and procedures to achieve best practice project delivery.
Prepare PEPS assurance review plans
Exposed to different cultures and nature of projects scope and provide proper decision on projects.
Exposed to work across all PEPS both internally and externally and complete reviews with quality recommendation under pressure due to tight schedules and complex project and organizational issues.
Frequent extended working hours may be required, which include out of office work.
High level of experience in all aspects of project execution including scheduling, cost and risk management, to provide proper recommendation and compliance.
Frequent extended working hours may be required, which include out of office work.
Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment. Management of sound inter-personal relationships and effective communication within PEPS and another department and contractor.
Overseas travel for assurance reviews in remote locations

Experience/Qualifications
Degree in an Engineering discipline from any recognized University; higher degree would be advantageous.
Membership in a recognized professional engineering and/or project management association/institution would be an advantage.
Experience of 20 years in engineering, project management and execution of multidiscipline projects.
Experience of 10) years in project management leadership roles (preferably as a Project Manager) with proven track record in oil and gas industry.
Experienced in developing project execution strategies, project management processes, HSEQ, and reviews, as required for execution of projects in both the oil and gas and infrastructure.
Extensive inter personal skills, strong leadership and team building qualities.
