Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Managing/forecasting resources utilization, staffing levels, recruitment requirements etc.
• The evaluation of engineering/design staff capabilities/needs and designing development/training programs to meet required capabilities needs and/or career development.
• Providing oversight of company staffing plans, Saudization levels and utilization.
• Ensuring best engineering practices and company procedures are utilized
• Coordinating as necessary with the parent company.
• Appointing, monitoring and providing oversight of all Engineering Discipline Department Managers (DM’s) under Shared Engineering.
• Establishing Company engineering procedures and practices and monitoring compliance.
• Providing oversight of all licensed engineering software requirements and usage. Providing the Operations Manager with engineering software plan and budget forecasts for each year and advising of any required deviations from the budget due to pending prospects or proposals
• Providing an execution strategy as it relates to 3D design and engineering execution based on prior exposure to 3D design systems. Providing leadership for the implementation of new 3D design trends.
• Supervising technical proposal preparation by DM’s including monitoring of staffing plans, staff utilization and Saudization targets.
• Supporting Contract Managers in prospect/proposal reviews.
• Identifying any specialized software or resources that are currently outside the business plan that must be included in proposal or company overhead.
• Demonstrating Servant Leadership in day-to-day activities.
• Developing and participating in key recruitment efforts to promote employee development and Saudization.
• Managing direct reports including managing work allocation, training, mentoring, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
• Evaluating performance of personnel in the department. Recommending training requirements, keeping the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives, and recommending that personnel be hired or removed from the Department.
• Approving nominees, coordinating and managing engineering personnel while on exchange assignments to Parent company offices.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Piping Head of Department/Project Manager, or Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for: • The safe, technically accurate, and cost effective piping system designs and deliverables for offshore installations and facilities. • Compliance with applicable specifications and standards, and completion of work within project budget and schedule. For larger projects, this is typically accomplished by a combination of supervising and directing a Piping Engineering Team and also directly performing tasks as required. These tasks may include Piping Stress Analysis, support design, special support design, spring support design, and design of expansion joints. • Coordinating both your Engineering and Design teams and be familiar with the workings of the 3D CAD model software being used on the project. • Being the final arbiter in space management of the 3D CAD model. • Preparing and reviewing engineering studies, design drawings and documents, material and equipment specifications and datasheets. • Resolving specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards. • Becoming competent in producing man-hour estimates for new work and change-orders together with Piping scheduling in conjunction with the project Planner. • Having an understanding of the project scope of work, budget, and schedule, particularly as it applies to Piping Engineering and Design. Manage scope changes, both additions and deletions. • Performing and/or overseeing all Piping Stress Analysis, assuring compliance with all applicable codes pertaining to piping systems and strain sensitive equipment. • Overseeing the work of other Piping Engineering personnel. Provide direction and guidance to the Piping Engineering Team. • Preparing man hour estimates for all Piping Engineering activities. • Scheduling, tracking and forecasting Piping Engineering activities. • Managing man-hour expenditures for Piping Engineering. • Producing required project reporting for Piping Engineering. • Ensuring coordination with other in-house engineering departments. • Developing and maintaining a list of lines to be stress analyzed. • Developing and maintaining valve list, spring support list, piping special items listing, etc. • Performing wall thickness and branch reinforcing calculations. • Preparing requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and supplier document review for all Piping materials and valves. • Performing a thorough review of relevant vendor documentation information for not only the Piping group, but review of all other Disciplines’ relevant Vendor Data. • Providing a timely internal check of drawings produced by other MHDP disciplines. • Incorporating MHDP procedures and standards into design as applicable. • Keeping abreast of emerging trends and technologies within your relevant field.
