Job Description

Acts as Fire Team Leader during Station Emergencies.
Advises the OIS on all HES matters.
Acts as focal point offshore for all incident and accident investigations and actions.
Recommends, organizes, and conducts audit programs to assess the status of worker and plant safety, industrial health and environmental protection programs.
Ensures engagement from all offshore teams in the 'What If' behavioural safety program. Raising awareness and providing coaching where required to maintain standards.
Plays a key role in hazard identification and risk analysis.
Advises and assists Line Managers, Supervisors to ensure operations, practices and plant conditions comply with all Company policies, procedures and statutes.
Assists Line Managers and Supervisors to provide regular audits of work permits. Reports results and tracks remedial actions until completed.
Maintains link with onshore HES management and staff, and promotes safety and environmental culture at all levels.
Co-operates with internal and external audit groups and assists as required.
Manage and coordinate offshore emergency preparedness plans, drills and exercises, and assesses and reports performance. Provides emergency team support, leadership and training and participates as required.
Assesses and reports status of environmental monitoring programs at operational level.
Reviews general safety and Company Emergency Response Plans to ensure statutory compliance and current application to practice. Recommends changes as necessary.
Acts as a focal point for all related incident & accident investigations providing support to investigation teams where required. Ensures flow of vital information to the Company database in a timely fashion. Follows up and tracks remedial actions until they are completed.
Provides advice to Line Managers, Supervisors and Safety Representatives and attends to other special projects as directed by immediate supervisor.
Incumbent shall be appointed Radiological Protection Supervisor for the PS-1 Complex.
Performs gas tests for Confined Space Entry.
Carries out safety equipment checks.
Monitor and support all HES initiatives and key performance indicators with a view to achieving zero lost time incidents.
Skills & Experience

Secondary School or College Education with additional Industrial Safety Certifications - NEBOSH Diploma or international equivalent.
Considerable to extensive experience in the field of Industrial Safety Regulations & Practices preferably in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas Industry.
Promotes, implements and assists safety and environmental training programs within the operation. Is an authorized Breathing Apparatus Instructor, conducts platform inductions and audits to ensure effectiveness.
This position requires a high level of expertise with production operations in the energy or petrochemical industry. The job holder requires a high level of self-motivation and skill in communication at all levels. Leadership ability is very important, along with a high degree of professionalism.
This is a permanent position.
