    Job Description

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Plumbing Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

    Saudi Aramco has selected Wood to develop a FEED for a mega program in the Onshore Eastern Province surrounding Tanajib, Safaniyah and Ju'aymah in Saudi Arabia. The increased crude and gas production will demand the initial expansion of an onshore GOSP (gas oil separation plant) at Tanajib, a Greenfield 2.5bnscf (billion standard cubic feet) gas plant, together with NGL (natural gas liquid) expansion at Wasit. This will all be supported by a new cogeneration power plant expected to generate 750 Mw (megawatts) for both onshore and offshore compression, together with power for onshore utilities.

    Overview / Responsibilities

    - Perform and Supervise Basic and detailed analysis and design and calculation and PID for the below water systems but not limited to Rain water system, Portable water system, Industrial water system, Firefighting system, Domestic waste water system and Contamination water system

    - Carry out the following design works as per project and leader engineer's requirements, e.g. prepare and finish the write-up and drawings as per the requirements

    - Prepare and finish design PID detail layout with dimension, ISO drawings, pipe layout, equipment layout, section drawing ant etc.

    - Prepare and finish the datasheet for below MR and not limited: Cooling tower; Cooling water pump; Firefighting pump; Firefighting tank; Waste water pump; Hot water heater; Firefighting foam system and, etc.

    - Review Vendor Drawings and Documentation

    - Carry out Proper Closeout of all project related work

    - Attend internal FW, Vendor and Client co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings to establish full understanding of scope of supply / work as required

    - Attend Quality Audits as required

    Skills / Qualifications

    - Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Environment Engineering with 12 plus year of experience in Oil and Gas / chemical / petrochemical projects

    - Familiar with Saudi Aramco Codes and Standards

    - Knowledge of FFPL Equipment, packages and FFPL calculation Software

    - Good English communication and inter-personal skill

    - Must have work experience in Aramco or GCC region Projects

    - Adaptive to multicultural environment

Reports findings to appropriate parties. • Assists in the development and training of lesser qualified inspectors. • Performs other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the Supervisor. • Ten (10) years of experience as a minimum. • Must read, write and speak English fluently. • Must have a valid Saudi driver’s license. • Must have good vision (20/20 normal or corrected) and be in good physical condition. • Must be willing to work at high elevations and in confined spaces. • Must be willing to work in assigned areas. • Must demonstrate knowledge of Uniform Building Code and other applicable standards and industry codes. • Performs inspection of all phases of asphalt concrete placement including sub-base/base preparation, laying methods and procedures and compaction operations. • Performs inspections of the installation of above ground utility distribution systems assuring that correct materials, tolerances, support and construction practices are used. • Witnesses and accepts hydrostatic tests for utility piping systems. • Performs inspections of fixtures and their installation assuring they are properly roughed in and that material and construction meet design specifications.'
