Key Requirements

• A university degree in engineering with a total of eight (10) years QA/QC experience or a high school diploma with ten (15) years’ experience in construction, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of Process Piping installations to ASME B 31.3.
• API 570, AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1 or approved equivalent certifications in Welding and Coatings.
• Minimum ASNT Level II in Penetrant test and Radiography Testing methods for Pipe welds.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas quality practices and international codes (ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, and ISO 29001 and ISO 10006). In depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards (i.e. ASME, AISC, ASTM, API, AWS, NACE, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.

Job Description

Position Description and General Responsibilities

1. Reporting to Project Quality Manager on as aspects of Quality Control and Assurance activities to Mechanical Equipment (Rotating and Static), Piping prefabrication and Installations, Welding Visual and NDE Inspections, Coating and Insulation during the Construction through Completions to ensure adherence to the COMPANY design requirements and applicable codes including Safety in Design.

2. Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed.

3. Provide leadership and direction to Contractor QC staff to ensure all construction inspection activities are performed as per company’s Construction Quality Program and check sheets (RCI) are signed-off on timely manner.

4. Supervise and co-ordinate the implementation of a site specific NDE program (ASME Sec V and VIII Divn. 1) during construction to ensure all applicable design requirements are met.

5. Review of Preheat and Post weld Heat Treatment charts as per ASME B 31.3 requirements.

6. Witness of Surface preparation and External coating inspections of piping components and equipment as per NACE and SSPC requirement.

7. Review of Pressure Test Pack of Piping systems and identify punch items. Witness of Pressure testing of Piping Systems.

8. Participate Mechanical Completion Walkdown, SID walkdown, Ready for Commissioning Walkdown and generate punch items. Also, co-ordinate with Subcontractors to verify closure.

9. Verify Contractor’s produced Redline As-built drawings and report back to Engineering for back drafting.

10. Assist with Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Inspections to Piping and Mechanical systems.

11. Mentoring / Training national candidates on all aspects of QA/QC
