Job Description

Amec Foster Wheeler have a requirement for a Welder to work for the Transmission and Distribution division. Initially the work is for 8 weeks at the Canalside depot

Purpose / Role

  • To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent welding construction service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures.
  • To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
  • To ensure all that all workscope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment
Key aims and objectives

  • To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications
Prime responsibilities and duties

  • Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the welding workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
  • Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team
  • Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manne
  • Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner

    POSITION PURPOSE

    - Responsible for providing accounting support for international operations. Responsible for ensuring monthly/quarterly close and timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    - Responsible for various financial closing activities for international operations. 

    - Responsible for monthly journal entry preparation, account analysis and reconciliations in support of operations.

    - Inpidual will interface closely with accounting and other functional staff in the international locations.

    - Review and analyze financial statements of the international locations and business units.

    - Review expenses to ensure they are fairly stated and provide commentary for major variations.

    - Evaluate foreign currency gains and losses and the translation of local currency financial records to US$.

    - Prepare monthly management reports, trend analysis and variance analysis including narratives explaining financial results

    - Participate in the review and preparation of local statutory financial statements prepared by Client’s international locations and external accounting firms.

    - Evaluate and communicate regarding the differences between US GAAP and Local Statutory financial statements including the detailed adjustments and reconciliations 

    - Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
