We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client an PROCESS SAFETY LEAD who will be based in Qatar on a residential long term contract. Our client undertaking a transformation of the Corporate HSEQ function and are looking for Senior experienced HSEQ professionals who not only have solid discipline subject matter expertise but also the leadership and change management skills to help build a world class team. The Process Safety Lead will be accountable to help shape client Process Safety community through the development and implementation of pragmatic Process Safety standards and guidance.

Key Requirements

Responsibilities
• Enhance the corporate Process Safety standards, procedures and guidelines as part of the corporate governance framework

Experience/Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or related) or equivalent.
• Extensively experience in oil and gas upstream process safety (+ 20 years).
• Leadership experience in design and operation of Upstream and Downstream oil and gas processing facilities.
• Leadership experience in operational support and coordination of multidiscipline activities at a site level
• Expert knowledge of Hazard & Risk Analysis (e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL assessments, LOPA, Hazardous area classification, dispersion analyses etc.).
• Demonstrable interpersonal skills (both in motivating employees and influencing stakeholders).
• Proven leadership, communication project management and change management experience.
