Natural Resources are urgently seeking on behalf of their client a SENIOR MARINE SURVEYOR who will be based in Qatar working with in our client’s Marine Department managing and carrying out different types of marine surveys and inspections on board vessels directly contracted to the client as well as vessels indirectly contracted to the client that are going to operate within the operational area and report any deficiencies in order to prevent substandard vessels that are not complying with international, regional, local or contractual requirement - from operating within client operational area. Plan and conduct Port State Control inspections on board Oil Tankers calling at the Terminal on behalf of the State of Qatar. Conduct OVID inspection on board client contracted vessels which are calling two Ports Attend and witness the Annual Dynamically Positioned (DP) trials for client contracted vessels and for other vessels that indirectly contracted to client as required.

• Considerable knowledge of the requirement of the International Maritime Organization, e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ILO, STCW, etc. and preferably some marine surveying experience.
• Considerable knowledge of seaport rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to vessel movements, port and cargo operation activities, and offshore operations with a good working knowledge of regulations for the Offshore Industry.
• Leadership, conflict management and motivational skills
• Good analytical skills related to problem solving
• Class 1 Master Mariner or Chief Engineer certificate of competency or its equivalent as recognized by IMO with Command or Chief Engineer experience or degree in Maritime related subjects (port Management, etc.).
