We are seeking to recruit a PORT SCHEDULER who will be responsible for developing an effective operational plan from requirements submitted by multiple terminal operators in the port for Port Operations. Responsible to also implement the plan so that it minimises delays in providing pilotage services while optimising the use of Port's resources. The position will be in the client’s Port Department and is based in QATAR on a long-term residential contract and can be on married or single status.

Key Requirements

Experience in the maritime industry both onshore and offshore
Working knowledge of scheduling methodology and terminal management
Sound working knowledge of International, Regional and Corporate Regulations governing safe and productive port operations.
Sound knowledge of commercial shipping and its role in International business
Ability to work as a team player, self-motivated with excellent inter-personal skills.
Excellent oral and written English with strong but pleasant negotiating skills
Ability to work under demanding circumstances, deploying strong organisational and time-management skills
Well versed in MS Office and Project applications
Well versed in specialised scheduling principles and technique
Holder of Class 2/1 (Deck OOW) Master Mariner Certificate
BSc Degree (preferred)
