Our Client a dynamic oil and gas company, is currently seeking applications from individuals interested in being considered for the Shipboard Management position of Master Mariner . As Master, you lead the shipboard management team and are responsible for safety; departmental leadership; crew supervision and a strong customer service focus. The Master ensures efficient vessel operations, including navigation, route and ship management, regulatory compliance; maintaining operational records and logs, and supporting the business performance of the vessel. The Master oversees crew training in fire, safety and boat drills, ensure that safety equipment is operational and provide leadership in emergency situations. Job Description

The Master must be physically and mentally able to take charge of the navigation, operation, management, care and safety of the vessel and crew; make daily inspections of his vessel, including all machinery spaces, voids and rudder rooms. The inspections include climbing ladders, entering tank opening 18' in diameter and being able to move about in all weather conditions. The Master must be skilled in and have a working knowledge of boat handling. He must have a practical knowledge of seamanship and a working knowledge of electronics. The Master must also have an understanding of ships power plants and ship's propulsion systems.
And shall also do all other duties if need be.
