Job Description

Purchasing: procuring general commodities; work shop maintenance consumables; office supplies; and general 3rd party services to the business at a competitive price and in a timely manner.
Logistics: providing a focal point for all logistics matters and movement of goods in support of projects and workshop operations. Arranging transport; interfacing with freight agents.
Expediting: responsible for supplier expediting and producing weekly reports. Prioritising rush and urgent orders, holding full responsibility for any goods until they are delivered and documentation is completed accordingly. Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure operations run smoothly.
Administration: maintain registers e.g. AVL; Project PO; Close-out Chart; etc.
Reporting to procurement manager, project managers and managing directors.

    Lead Buyer - Aberdeen - 6 to 12 month contract

    • Coach team members in successfully delivering procurement execution services for the region. 
    • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Ways of Working, as documented and maintained by PS and PSCM Process & Systems, in the delivery of all services provided to the region. 
    • Ensure all activities take place in accordance with corporate policies and processes, defined governance and delegations of authority, ethics and compliance policy, as well as external laws and regulations.
      • Collaborate with PSCM and Operations stakeholders in order to continually improve material and service delivery to the region.

    - Drive conformance to standards throughout the region and across the wider PS team.
