All in which meeting the project budget, EPC program and the terms, policies and procedures of client delegated by the Project Director The Engineering and Procurement Manager is also the company’s Engineering & Procurement Representative towards Client, the main engineering subcontractor, vendors, other subcontractors, project staff and other third party entities that will be involved directly or indirectly with the EPC execution, under the direction of Project Director PRINCIPAL DUTIES • Oversee the engineering works performed by a principle-engineering subcontractor to ensure delivery of engineering works according to project schedule, applicable specifications & standards and in compliance with related quality and HSSE requirements. • Serve as a technical consultant, when necessary, where issues are raised by Client and/or vendors such as but not limited to contradictory specifications, requirements with no added value for intended purposes, delivery improvements and/or lower cost supply alternatives etc. • Work on enhancing processes and procedures undertaken for the engineering and procurement efforts. • Directly dealing with Client, where necessary, to handle technical queries and clarifications for the various engineering disciplines. • Oversee management of design and deviations issues with the engineering subcontractor and vendors ensuring compliance with Client requirements. • Oversee proper utilization of software systems for design and drafting including 3D modeling. • Serve as primary contact for all engineering inquiries and delegating as deemed appropriate. • Oversee the review and development of engineering deliverables, processes, and procedures with emphasis on lowering costs, shortening cycle time, improving serviceability and increasing throughput and quality. • Oversee the effective processing and handling of vendor documentation. • Participate as required with Interface meetings with major material and equipment suppliers. • Review the design execution cycles for compliance with engineering principles, client standards, Client contract requirements, and related specifications • Oversee the application of outsourced technical studies to ensure that all packages are properly engineered in a cost effective way • Soliciting 3rd party personnel to lead HSSE, 3D Model and other engineering workshop • Serve, where necessary, as primary contact for critical procurement inquiries with Client, delegating as deemed appropriate. • Implements, with Procurement Manager, broader category sourcing strategy for equipment, materials and finished goods to reduce total delivered cost, mitigate headwinds, and improve delivery • Effectively communicates strategies, commercial results and metrics to project management • Develops, along with Procurement Manager, contract strategies and effectively participates in negotiating key commercial and supply positions for to the benefit of project requirements and goals • Provides guidance and recommendations to engineering subcontractor to improve procurement of engineered packages • Maintain an awareness of client EP high-level goals and initiatives towards the project If you wish to be considered for the above position kindly send an updated detailed CV/Resume in Microsoft word format
