Job Description

Be responsible for the supervision of all matters concerning HSE on the site. Apply the safety and environmental regulations stipulated by law and/or the Client. Apply all the precautions and measures necessary to guarantee safety at work. Hold meetings with all production personnel and others, to inform them of all aspects of fire prevention and accident prevention stipulated by law. Inform personnel of the location and use of fire prevention equipment on the site. Periodically checks the condition of the lifting equipment, scaffolding, cables, extinguishers and protective clothing etc. Keep the updated accident report register and issues the relative reports. Ensure all Accidents and Near Misses are reported in accordance with the Project HSE Plan.
Participate in Accident and Near Miss investigations.
?Schedule orientations training and ensure an adeguate follow-up of the project training matrix
Performe Job Safety Analysis evaluation upon Work Method Statement production
Assiste the supervisors in applications for Work Permits.
Production of project based report and statistic data processing.

THE ROLE: The role is a Permanent (Staff) position for an experienced HSE Manager - previous experience in operational Plant environment essential, to join the Plants Senior Management team with complete responsibility for a zero harm culture throughout the organisation. Your role will be to ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and international standards. You will be responsible for a multinational Department of more than 30 HSE Engineers with 7 Direct reports and so will have acted in a position with a similar level of responsibility previously. It will involve the preparation and implementation of all HSE procedures and policies, ensuring that all standards and procedures meet audit and compliance objectives. With complete responsibility for identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities within the Departments systems and processes whilst considering cost reduction and productivity implications. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Health, Safety or Environmental Sciences or Equivalent discipline NEBOSH or equivalent certification. Minimum Experience: 8-10 years experience in an industrial environment, with at least 5 years in a petrochemical company – essential.
