Job Description

A leading petroleum firm that is internationally recognised seeks a Senior addition to their already sizeable team of Geologists. Involved in the full spectrum of petroleum upstream and downstream activities, this organisation have a highly ambitious strategic plan in place. They are expecting 2011 to be extremely successful.

Working within a team of Geologists, Geophysicists and Reservoir Engineers, you will assist the division in the development and maintaining of the portfolio as well as supervising the overall function of the Geology team. You will be a key point in ensuring successful delivery of large scale assignments, plus will be heavily involved in the development of the department. (Recruitment, training, appraisal, BD activities.) Qualities they look for in the people includes:

This role will involve overseas travel and it is essential the applicant is willing to undertake short to medium term assignments.

Educated up to Masters level, they expect applying applicants to already be within a Geology capacity within their current/previous company. Technically they would like to see experience in the following areas:
* Sedimentology or Structural Geology
* Good understanding of Geology principals (Basin studies, Geological modelling)
* Full understanding of the E&P life cycle
