Key Requirements

University degree in HR, Business, Management, or related field of study. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 10 years HR experience in a Generalist and management capacity working in a multi-site business environment, background in Labor Unions is a plus.

Reporting to the MD Canada with dotted line responsibility to the Vice President HR for North America, you will be responsible for:

Formulating and executing strategic policies, plans and programs for Canada in line with the Canadian and North American goals and objectives.

Coordinating and partnering with senior HR based in the US and Europe to provide value-added support and guidance to Management, Employees and the HR division

Driving the mission and vision of the organization to create an environment that fosters leadership, opportunity and overall success.

Managing the HR function in Canada, including people and processes to maximize performance and efficiency.

Ensuring compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements, as well assisting in negotiations/resolutions for Union-Management issues.

Creating and implementing compensation and benefit strategies to attract, retain and motivate high quality employees and job candidates.

Assisting Management in defining & successfully implementing change management processes in line with business objectives and lead the strategic talent management/development
