A leading and well-established technology and services Company in the global oil and gas industry seeks Subsurface Data Project Managers to support and deliver upstream data management solutions to a specific operator client and others as required. These are tactical PM roles to implement subsurface data management solutions to maximise benefit of the client’s global portfolio of operating assets. It requires day-day practical project management to implement a global vision within local circumstances – making digital transformation work through effective and adapted data foundation solutions. Key Requirements

• Preferably a degree in a geoscience or petroleum engineering discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in upstream oil and gas essential.

They are currently involved in several subsurface projects with one of their major oil operator clients who has deployed their platform. Following intensive training on this platform and work processes, you will be assigned to one of these projects based on your area of expertise. . Working with about 5-6 other project members (consisting of operator personnel and 3rd party) you will provide advice on all aspects of the project and manage the delivery / deployment of the overall solution based on agreed KPI’s. You will project manage effectively, delivering a high level of client satisfaction. In doing so, you will collaborate closely with team members and with Company experts in IT, Software Development and business development.

Responsibilities: Working as part of the Consultancy Service Team, you will:
• Become competent in the Company’s processes, workflows and technical solutions. Intensive training of their platform will be provided.
• Participate in daily “scrum” project management meetings by phone to discuss aspects of the project e.g. project status, assigned tasks, KPI’s, concerns, challenges to overcome, changes in requirements, new developments…
• Collaborate closely with project team members ensuring tasks, deliverables and timelines are clearly understood and agreed.
• Collaborate with Company experts in: IT for system deployment; with Software Development for new tools or applications; and with Business Development in terms of potential new opportunities.
• Agree the overall roadmap with development and support organisations; monitor progress against plan thereafter and provide overall project management.
• Be proactive in keeping all stakeholders informed – across the Project Team, 3rd parties involved and all players within the Company.
• As the PM and subsurface data expert, you may be called to provide advice on a range of topics such as:
? Define solutions using the PPDM model and the Company Platform – this could relate to the migration of all types of petrotechnical data to PPDM.
? Implementation of corporate information management solutions including complex data integration workflows.
? Propose related data technologies such as data lake, integration and identify where customers could also benefit from their use.
? Recommend and define best practices.
? Review and assess existing client solution architectures – work with Company IT experts as required.
? Contribute to internal dialogue about landscape, enterprise architectures and ecosystems in which the Data Foundation solutions are to be delivered (cloud, hybrid, on-premises, mobile, web, etc.)
• Provide outstanding project management service, utilising your own domain knowledge and Companywide expertise to deliver a high level of client satisfaction.
• Be proactive in sharing knowledge, experience and best practice across your peers. Mentor more junior consultants.
• Be proactive in identifying new business opportunities within the project remit or elsewhere within the client base. Feedback to sales/business development people.
• Strive for constant technical excellence.
• Keep abreast of industry challenges, drivers, trends and solutions pertaining to all aspects of Digital Transformation. Understand competitors and their offerings. Strive to keep ahead of the technology curve.
• Be proactive in raising the Company’s awareness and reputation at all points of contact across the client base and industry in general.
• Attend industry events as required and be seen as an ambassador for the Company and its services.
• Participate in other projects as required.
