Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an Engineering discipline (petroleum or mechanical) MBA and experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable. 10 + years direct operations management experience in an offshore Oil and Gas platform for one of the major oil companies Minimum of 5 years of upper level management experience plus business development/sales or managing business development/sales experience Demonstrated experience in building client relationships and developing and executing business strategy plans Strong leadership skills coupled with team management Excellent analytical skills, decisive, adaptable, ethical, and a team player Commercially sensitive with a strong customer and commercial focus coupled with the ability to drive and lead change. Verbal & written communication skills – highly developed presentation skills and ability to interact effectively with senior government officials, and senior management of organizations. Technical skills and experience in the off-shore and or upstream Oil and Gas Market is a must
Job Description
Reporting to President of North America. Due to growth of the company, a new business unit will be created and will be heading up a new division and team. You will be responsible for: Strategy Planning/Budgeting – developing the annual strategic plan from which the financial budget will be developed and for the implementation, monitoring and corrective active of business strategy and budgets. Resourcing – monitoring, identifying and recruiting staff in line with business growth and development and for achieving all identified targets for auditor/technical service utilization, laboratory efficiencies, sales targets, and back-office and customer service targets. Staff Training – training of all hires and ensuring the highest possible level of service delivery. Sales/Marketing – driving the sales/marketing activities through the development and implementation of sales/marketing plans and teams. Required effectively manage all sales and marketing staff and ensure that the most effective sales processes are in place and for developing critical essential relationships with key clients in the segment. New Product Development - continually evaluate the market for new product opportunities, identify and inform and work with the relevant business lines to develop and aggressively roll-out new identified products. Finance – Responsible for P&L of this newly created unit as well as cost control in line with budgeted objectives and take preventative and corrective and corrective action when required. Maintaining an accurate cost breakdown and costing model for all services offered. Monthly Reporting – Preparation, reporting and monitoring of monthly activities in line with company reporting format and schedules. Cross-Selling – As a senior manager of the company, will be required to work closely with other business managers; offer constructive input and assist actively sell all relevant services.

Requirements are good oral and written communication skills and must be IT literate. You will oversee all aspects of Non - Intrusive Inspection techniques including PA/ToFD/Corrosion Mapping and will be fully conversant with DNV-RP-G103. Main duties will include Personnel competency audits, Competency assessments, Personal development plans and professional mentoring, Maintain competency across global activities and locations, Support compliance audits, Create and have ownership of operating procedures and techniques, Support for UKAS surveillance audits, Implementing technical improvement and developing on existing techniques, Advise on planning for all technical personnel, Review reporting and ensuring accuracy and a common approach.
