Employing over 4,000 personnel they operate with a focus on oil sands, conventional exploration and development and unconventional gas As Senior Subsea Inspector your main responsibilities will include Familiarisation with the Company Quality Management Strategy, Quality Policy and associated documentsMonitor adherence to the Contractors and Sub Contractors Project Quality PlanInterface with the IVB at site as required for Verification Scheme Field InspectionsEnsure adherence to the Contractors and Sub Contractors Discipline Inspection and Test PlansEnsure that all specified Quality Control and Inspection requirements are implementedWitness Contractor / Sub Contractors Welding Procedure and Welder Qualification activitiesEnsure that all fabrication and assembly meets the specification requirementsEnsure that records are suitably endorsed to record witnessed inspectionsEnsure that Project Quality Records are compiled progressivelyInterface with the Subsea Project Team for all QA/QC related issuesReport on Non Conforming items including preventive and corrective actionImplement site surveillance activities to verify compliance with specification requirementsDay to day quality surveillance of the contractors / sub contractors work including installation and testingReview of NDE records including radiographsStructural and pipe work fabrication, welding, testing and coatingStage and final inspectionsProvide inspection and status reports as required Qualifications & TrainingCSWIP / PCN Senior Welding Inspector 3.2 (preferred) or Welding Inspector 3.1 (required)CSWIP / PCN Radiographic Interpretation (required)Technical Qualifications HNC, ONC, City & Guilds or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline (preferred) Knowledge/Skills/ExperienceExperience in subsea fabrication for the UK Sector of the North Sea, preferably with an Offshore Operator (required)Experience of working to a UK Verification Scheme for a UK North Sea Project (preferred)Ability to work unsupervised in a team environmentGood presentation, report writing and communication skillsGood time management skills The position is located in Aberdeen but will require travel to various worldwide & UK locations This is a contract position. My client has a permanent position for an NII Function Head within their Specialist Inspection Services department located in Swansea, South Wales. The ideal applicant must have a degree or equivalent in a Mechanical/Electrical/Science related qualification and hold a Level 3 in UT/PA/TOFD or willing to take the exam within 12-18 months. Requirements are good oral and written communication skills and must be IT literate. You will oversee all aspects of Non - Intrusive Inspection techniques including PA/ToFD/Corrosion Mapping and will be fully conversant with DNV-RP-G103. Main duties will include Personnel competency audits, Competency assessments, Personal development plans and professional mentoring, Maintain competency across global activities and locations, Support compliance audits, Create and have ownership of operating procedures and techniques, Support for UKAS surveillance audits, Implementing technical improvement and developing on existing techniques, Advise on planning for all technical personnel, Review reporting and ensuring accuracy and a common approach. You will report directly to the SIS Group Head and work closely with the SIS Operational Head, Senior engineers and people from all over the business.
