My client is a major provider of Engineering, Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing
Services with world-wide capability to the petrochemical, power generation and oil & gas industries.
My client has a permanent position for an NII Function Head within their Specialist Inspection Services
department located in Swansea, South Wales.
The ideal applicant must have a degree or equivalent in a Mechanical/Electrical/Science related qualification
and hold a Level 3 in UT/PA/TOFD or willing to take the exam within 12-18 months. Requirements are good
oral and written communication skills and must be IT literate. You will oversee all aspects of Non - Intrusive
Inspection techniques including PA/ToFD/Corrosion Mapping and will be fully conversant with DNV-RP-G103.
Main duties will include Personnel competency audits, Competency assessments, Personal development plans
and professional mentoring, Maintain competency across global activities and locations, Support compliance
audits, Create and have ownership of operating procedures and techniques, Support for UKAS surveillance
audits, Implementing technical improvement and developing on existing techniques, Advise on planning for
all technical personnel, Review reporting and ensuring accuracy and a common approach.
You will report directly to the SIS Group Head and work closely with the SIS Operational Head, Senior engineers
and people from all over the business. An element of travelling across client locations will be
required, sometimes at short notice.
