They are currently recruiting for the position of Subsea Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, based in Staines.

Job Description

  • Take responsibility for organising and completion of all tests to prepare and prove subsea scope of work
  • Take responsibility for organising and completion of commissioning and installation activities (including procedures)
  • Take ownership of Company Provided Items (CPIs)
  • Support activities (FAT to hand over to Ops team) in UK and abroad (Azerbaijan) and assist in delivering 'as-built' docs
  • As a member of the COP Team, initiate, manage and undertake work to improve subsea equipment's scope definitions and resolve technical issues
  • Input to project planning and execution
  • Participate in Progress and Interface meetings with engineering, construction and installation contractors
  • Ensure that designs and procedures comply with company's IM standards, relevant ETPs, Design Assurance Plans, Codes & Standards, Specifications and BOD's
  • Participate in project design, risk & reliability reviews, workshop activities and readiness reviews
  • Initiate and create procedures for integration, commissioning and installation of subsea hardware
  • Ensure lessons learned and best practice are considered in all aspects of the Project
  • Preparation and update of key project documents (including change management)
  • Ensure company HSE standards are promoted and maintained during both onshore and offshore activities
  • Protect and enhance company reputation
  • Promote and uphold the company Code of Conduct
  • Follow the Major Projects Common process (MPcp) and support the preparation of required documentation

Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in relevant aspects of the oil and gas industry specially subsea equipment and project work dealing with Design to Construction, Commissioning and handover to Operations
  • Considerable experience in an offshore/subsea position
  • Qualification in subsea equipment and operations (preferably degree in Engineering)
  • Preferably be familiar with company systems and procedures
  • Offshore survival certs

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
