To provide to the Business the function of CDM coordinator to ensure that all HSE notifiable projects where the client appoints the Business to act in the capacity of CDM Coordinator are compliant.

To perform the same function for external clients.

To provide safety adviser service to the Business with regard to project safety, reviewing contractors RAMS on non-notifiable projects and monitoring the safety performance of Principal Contactors, Contractors and Sub-contractors to meet the requirements of the relevant regulations.

Provide support to the internal safety adviser with regard to office safety and emergency procedures and processes.

To be an integral part of a forward thinking team who are looking to expand and diversify.

Essential requirements:

Member of IOSH/MAPS.

Nebosh General Certificate, pref Construction Certificate or both.

Computer literate inc MS Word, Project Excel, Access

Good written and verbal communication at all levels

Primary Role Responsibilities:

CDM Coordinator:

• Carry out designer/contractor competency assessments

• Assist with project reviews

• Review designer risk assessments

• Prepare pre-construction information pack

• Review initial Construction Phase H & S Plans

• Provide Client interface on all aspects of project related to CDM

• Meeting participation, pre-contract and site progress

• Preparation checking and release of final Health and Safety Files for the clients

Safety Adviser:

• Provide safety advice on non-notifiable projects to Contract Administrators

• Provide safety advice to the Business’s Property Service repairs and maintenance team, including checking of RAMS

• Carry out Site Safety Inspections to comply with the partnership KPI’s.

• Assist office Safety Adviser on office related construction and fire related issues.

• Provide reports and information to the Corporate Health and Safety Service (CHSS) on construction related safety issues as required.

• Investigate construction related incidents as required by (CHSS) & clients.
