Job Description To produce Engineering drawings in accordance with CoP specifications that facilitate the execution of agreed TA worklist items Review the Engineering scopes of work produced by the TA Team that require drafting input Liaise with the TA Team Leaders to agree the appropriate priorities Agree the scopes of work with the Business Unit Engineers or Technical Specialists Carry out site visits to determine the scope of the work Complete and engineering drawing in accordance with the CoP procedure based on the CoP specifications Initiate the required change management documentation Highlight material requirements and ensure that procurement of the designed items is possible within the agreed timescale Arrange to have the drawing checked by the Drafting peer group Circulate the drawing based on the comments Revise the drawing based on the comments Arrange to have the drawing re-checked by the Drafting peer group Issue the drawing for approval Register the drawing on the system Skills & Experience Piping drafting experience AutoCAD experience Knowledge of Engineering standards Experience of piping drafting in petro-chemical industry This is a contract position. Job Description

My client is a leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke complex equipment for use in extreme environments. Due to a constantly busy order book they are looking to offer a rare opportunity to a Mechanical Engineering graduate to join their busy drawing office. This position will give the successful candidate exposure to more than simply sitting in front of a computer producing CAD models. You will be given responsibility for the full design process from initial enquiry to producing designs, BOMs and introduction to manufacturing. The ideal candidate for this role will have an Honours Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering and preferably some industry experience, either post graduation or work placement.
