A leading oil & gas operator has an urgent vacancy for a Drilling / Wells HSE Advisor to be based in their London office.
Job Purpose:
- To develop, improve and implement well engineering HSE processes in compliance with HSE management system.
- To manage HSE aspects of well engineering activities until dedicated HSE resource are appointed across applicable business units.
- To undertake assurance activities across all regions in relation to well engineering activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the well engineering management to develop and implement HSE procedures and standards in compliance with the IMS.
- Provide technical advice and support in relation to the development, implementation and monitoring of EH&S plans and procedures in drilling operations.
- Carries out assurance (including audit) activities to demonstrate compliance with procedures / standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Liaise with Regulators and other key external Stakeholders in area of operations.
- Facilitate or participate in risk assessment activities.
- Support implementation of incident reporting & investigation in area of operations. Produce statistics to understand incident trends.
- Coordinate tracking and close-out of HSE corrective and improvement actions in area of operations.
- Active monitoring and periodic reporting on HSE activities and HSE performance indicators both for the company and Contractor activities.
Skills / Education:
- Graduation degree in science subjects.
- Core level of HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH international / national certificate.
- Able to manage operational HSE activities in multiple locations
- Adaptable in fast changing environments and delivers results through a pragmatic and positive approach
- Transfers knowledge and develops practices across the company
- Influences others in the delivery of HSE performance
- Demonstrates knowledge of technical HSE
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
