Job Overview: Working for a leading provider of advanced wellsite and laboratory services to the mineral and hydrocarbon Industries you will support their growing demand for core analysis services. The main focus of this role is to perform multiple services on rock samples at the wellsite involving structural geology, core description, and basic core processing. Some laboratory core analysis may be required in the UK. Applicants are invited with a background in structural geology, experience in core analysis and some wellsite experience. Full training in the Companys core analysis services and associated tools will be provided. The Company undertake a range of analytical projects on behalf of their clients globallythey have developed some unique tools for sampling and analysing core and you will be trained in the use and application of these tools and will overtime become an expert user Candidate Requirements: Experience in the oil and gas industry preferably at the wellsite analysing geological features on cores (fracture description, core reorientation, stereographic projection). Proven experience performing services on rock samples at the wellsite involving structural geology, core description, and basic core processing highly desired. Previous experience using core cutting or core data recording tools highly advantageous.This is an exciting and challenging role for a self-motivated individual able to travel internationally to conduct wellsite core analysis. An Expanding operator with a 5 year plans to double production within their International assets, is looking to hire a a dedicated Senior Geologist for their operations in both UKCS and West Africa. My clients International offices are based in Aberdeen they are one of the top ten largest operators in the UKCS, operating 99% of their assets. As a Senior Geologist working in this area you will be part of and work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including the field Geophysicists and Reservoir Engineers. Your job will be to maintain production of assets, seek and generate prospects through evaluation for in-field drilling, near field exploration and bringing existing prospects to production. This role will be key to the success of the team moving forward and you will be expected to plan work schedules, lead projects and and provide leadership and coordination to the team. As a Senior Geologist you will have proven experience in production/development and exploration. You will have skills in Reservoir characterisation, reservoir mapping and geological model building and be familiar with software's such as Landmark & Petrel. Candidates with upwards of 7 years experience can be considered for this role. EU Citizenship or equivalent to work in the UK would be extremely beneficial.

They have a good reputation in Aberdeen and now have a position for person to support the evaluation of new and mature field development opportunities from their UK portfolio. The Role You will be playing a leadership role in the development geology discipline. This will involve the support the evaluation of new and mature field development opportunities from the UK portfolio. Additionally you will support the exploration and business Development group to evaluate acquisition opportunities and monitor the company's operated and non-operated portfolio. This will of course involve understanding the subsurface reservoir distribution, in-place hydrocarbons and technical reserves of our exploration discoveries to facilitate future development planning. Additionally you will provide geological capability throughout the field development planning process including assessment of the geological framework, static reservoir modelling, probabilistic in-place volumes. This role will also include attending 3rd party meetings, visiting data rooms and writing field development plans/technical memorandum/investment proposals. You will also manage outside consultants and interview and mentor new staff as well as to ensure that they are trained in the correct areas to complete their jobs. Experience Required You should have 10+ years experience and ideally this will be previously gained working in an operator. You should have a background in reservoir characterisation and static geological model construction, field development planning and exploration work. You should also have experience of utilising the 3D reservoir characterisation tool-kits Seisworks & Petrel. You should also be au fait with reservoir volume uncertainty estimation, scenario modelling & value of information techniques. Geoscience Regional New Ventures Team Leader: Africa, Middle East & Central Asia The Geoscience Regional New Ventures Team Leader will lead the new ventures strategy development for the region. You will be in charge of identifying and leading/coordinating the integrated evaluation of regional opportunities up to the point of contract execution. Requirements Qualifications and Capabilities Bachelor degree in a geological or earth science subject is required. MSc or PhD in Petroleum Geology or Petroleum Geophysics is desirable. Experience and understanding of the new ventures. Knowledge of Kingdom and Petrel. Ability to work alone under own initiative and as a group. Ability to perform analysis, interpretation and problem solving at all levels of complexity with varying volumes of data is required. Ability to work in a geographically dispersed virtual team is required. Willingness to travel once a month. Understanding of and willingness to work in a matrix organisation is required. Specific Expertise and Experience Extensive knowledge and experience in the region with in-depth understanding of the basins and plays and associated critical success factors. Extensive experience developing networks with International Oil Companies, National Oil Companies, government agencies etc in the region. Skills in strategy development and commercial would be an advantage. Experience of the geological interpretation of well log and seismic data from a variety of depositional and tectonic systems from a number of different international regions desirable. Experience of leading data room evaluations.
