They are currently recruiting for the position of Lead Geophysicist, based in London. Job Description A hands on Lead Geophysicist for their UK location to lead the geophysical activities for the New Developments projects and ensure high quality and timely deliverables. Provide support to the asset for all geophysical aspects, including, but not limited to, seismic interpretation, generation of maps, structural frameworks, seismic attributes to guide static geomodel builds, volumetric estimates, risks analysis, uncertainty analysis, and well planning. It is the duty of the Lead Geophysicist to all understand all aspects of seismic data and its interpretation and provide geophysical support to the appraisal, development or ongoing development of the New Developments projects. Lead the geophysical team and work with other asset team members in a collaborative style and support asset data integration. Short Description: Petrophysicist - UK London, some business travel to Russia Complete Description: Primary Purpose of the Job Member of integrated subsurface team, with specific responsibilities for - Petrophysics to support reserves determination in a major Cennomanian gas field Petrophysics to support reservoir characterisation of a Turonian gas field; this will be used to assess development options and consider reserves / resources. Petrophysics to assess new opportunities as they arise Technical representation with Partners, government and auditors Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities Petrophysical analyses of open hole log and core data. This includes reconciliation / calibration of appraisal wells with comprehensive suites of logs and development wells with basic set of Russian logs. Develop log and capillary based saturation height functions Interpret PLT data with focus on inflow profiles and water movement Work with geologist, geophysicist and reservoir engineer to provide an consistent view of reservoir characterisation Assess the technical merits of different approaches to interpretation and quantify uncertainties Support the reserves evaluation Work with client's petrophysicists to ensure that they fully understand the analyses and conclusions and are capable of picking up the work in the longer term. Explain the petrophysical analyses and results internally and externally Represent the client in technical work meetings with partners
