Job Description

As hydrocarbon extraction becomes more and more challenging the risk involved on these projects in all areas (down-stream and upstream) becomes a factor which requires assurance.
Working from the head-office and being part of their global projects our client is currently searching for people from a Upstream Engineering background to take on a new challenging position in Internal Auditing. This can be from a Subsurface or Drilling area. Candidates must come from a background where they understand risk management from a number of areas including corporate, operational, financial, strategic perspective. Experienced auditors with an Oil and Gas background are welcome.
You will receive an intensive and vigorous training course to get you up to speed with the industry and mind-set of how an Internal Auditor needs to work. You must be naturally strong at influencing people, you will design and deliver audit work and you will generally manage on-site activity. You will address the relevant areas of risk and ensure that the process is following my clients internal quality standards.
The job itself will give you excellent exposure to the entire organisation and access to some of the top bosses, directors and CEOs of the company which many people will never see. The position will have a superb breadth and variety and you will have stints working in top international locations.
To take on the position as an Internal Auditor, you will have at least 5 years experience involved in either the Downstream or upstream sectors of the oil and gas industry (more experienced candidates are more than welcome to apply). You would experienced an element of risk management previously and be able to develop this understanding to a series of internal principles as outlines by our client. You will have the ability of both mentoring and managing people as you develop in your role. You must have EU citizenship or equivalent for this position.
