They are currently recruiting for the position of Quality Management Lead, based in Sunbury, with some overseas travel. Job Description The Quality Management Lead for Auditing will be responsible for developing a new Audit & Review strategy and establishing a small team of auditors to implement it. The strategy will be forward thinking, with the aim of engaging all levels of the project delivery organisation in the assurance process. The role will require the candidate to; influence change in the way auditing is perceived and, demonstrate the value that auditing adds to a project. The audit team will be established as a central service delivered across the Angola Developments projects portfolio. Develop a new approach to audit and review, moving beyond simple compliance to process improvement and risk identification and gain support from and ownership by the leadership team for the new approach Provide strong leadership to a small team of auditors who will carry out meaningful audits that support the objectives of compliance and improvement Ensure that all actions arising from 'audits & reviews' are assigned an owner and that adequate resources are provided to ensure close-out is effective and achieved in a timely manner Work closely with the SQM manager to establish an auditing approach that 'follows the risk' down into the supply chain Prepare, maintain and implement documents that define the requirements for; Audit Strategy, Audit Planning, Audit Scheduling, Audit Execution & Reporting, Closure of Audit Findings, Audit data trending and analysis Work closely with the Sector Quality Managers to identify suitable areas for auditing including Project teams, Tier 1 contractors/suppliers and critical suppliers deep in the supply chain including Duplex Stainless Steel Suppliers Prepare an audit schedule for the Angola Development portfolio of projects taking into account the requirements of the Operating Management Systems, the stage of each project and the specific needs of the project Develop and deliver audit training modules to enable auditing to be undertaken in a consistent manner, with auditors, auditees and management understanding the process and the role they play within it Skills & Experience Engineering degree from an internationally accredited university Extensive experience in Quality Management in major international projects IRCA Qualified Lead Auditor with considerable current experience In depth knowledge of working to the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO29001 Chartered Quality Professional Must be eligible to work in UK Working knowledge of management systems such as API Q1 Experience of leading a team of auditors Experience of working within a stage-gate governance framework Experience of working for an engineering contractor on offshore oil and gas projects Experience of working for an Oil & Gas operator This is a contract position. They are currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Technical Authority, Static Equipment, based in London. Job Description The Mechanical TA will be accountable for the following as they relate to the operation of existing assets in the Iraq region and the associated Iraq redevelopment project: Selection of suitable engineering codes and standards relevant to mechanical engineering, covering all static mechanical equipment from the wellhead to the export system. This includes utility systems within oil processing facilities as well as 'off site' utilities such as power generation and distribution, source water and water injection. Endorsing the content and quality of engineering specifications used for the procurement of static mechanical equipment. Where necessary, the Mechanical TA will undertake to develop or endorse the development of local Mechanical Engineering Site Technical Practices. The selection of codes and standards, generation of specifications and development of STPs shall reflect the content of applicable the Company's engineering technical practices in the area of mechanical engineering. Manage deviations from mechanical engineering codes, standards, specifications and STPs through the existing deviation process. Provide assurance to the Engineering Authority that the Management of Change process is functioning correctly for modification or other changes to mechanical equipment. Work with the supply chain department to ensure that mechanical equipment is purchased to the required quality level and with the required level of certification and testing Ensure that the Project design follows the principles of inherently safer design and that residual risks are ALARP. Ensure the Project goals of standardisation at the levels of plant design and equipment specification are achieved. Selection of suitable and appropriate mechanical engineering technology for application in Iraq. Ensure that relevant mechanical equipment is identified as Safety Critical Equipment and appropriate maintenance, inspection and test plans are in place. Perform audits of safety critical maintenance. Establishment of a 'Community of Practice' involving all mechanical engineers within the Iraq Region. This will involve knowing all the staff working as mechanical engineers, their educational level, career aspirations and training and development needs. It will also involve working the HR and the training department to identify and deliver suitable training. Perform competency assessments of senior mechanical engineers and, together with line management, develop training and development plans to close competency gaps. Skills & Experience MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE UK This is a contract position. The rate for this position is negotiable.
