The role has a wide remit to manage and enhance production from EnQuest’s producing fields and successful candidates will have experience across the various aspects of petroleum engineering, including production optimisation, forecasting, well performance analysis, completion design, well intervention planning and operations. This role is based in Aberdeen working within a multi-disciplinary team and reporting to the Subsurface Team Leader.

Key Requirements
Essential
· Demonstrable experience in UKCS producing fields in a Petroleum Engineering
capacity Experience of infill drilling campaigns on mature fields
· Working knowledge of petroleum geology, petrophysics and reservoir engineering
techniques is essential, as the position involves work within a multidisciplinary team.
· Experience of working offshore in a Petroleum engineering capacity
Desirable:
· Experience of Brent reservoirs
· Experience with petroleum engineering applications (Petroleum Experts Suite)
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
· Degree qualified – with a relevant degree
· Able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning and continuous personal and professional
development
Desirable:
· Petroleum Engineering degree would be advantageous
· Offshore Survival and medical certification
Job Description
· Develop, own and maintain production and well aspects of the Life of Field Plan and
deliver the Annual Business plan.
· Responsible for optimising production from EnQuest’s producing fields, working
closely with subsurface and operations teams.
· Identify and justify value adding operations in existing wells, e.g. well interventions,
stimulations, work-over’s.
· Seek out, evaluate and recommend innovative technologies to enhance well and field
performance.
· Interface with operations personnel, to ensure requirements are delivered during well
operations.
· Work with subsurface and drilling teams to optimise completion design for new wells
and work-over’s.
· Maintain an up to date inventory of production enhancement opportunities in existing
wells.
· Be responsible for management of production data, identifying, justifying and
implementing improvements.
· Build, maintain and use appropriate petroleum engineering tools, e.g. multiphase flow
models.
· Collaborate with other EnQuest staff and management, on acquisition and utilisation of
petroleum engineering hardware and software and special projects .
· Enhance Petroleum Engineering skills. Interact with industry through personal
contacts, trade shows, seminars and conventions.
· Some occasional offshore trips may be required
