Job Description
This position will be responsible for creating accurate manufacturing sequences whereby raw materials and assemblies are processed into quality finished products using the most economical and efficient means. Reviews prints and bill of material requirements of items to be manufactured and determines the process plans/routings, instructions, methods, procedures, tooling, etc. required. Uses computerised files/systems to analyse production status and creates manufacturing processes for parts/assembly by specifying machines to be utilised, stages of manufacture required to produce finished part. Assists in establishing standard production times for parts and/or assemblies, recommends improvements/modifications, and discusses/resolves impact of process plans with other departments as required.
This position will also assist other departments as required and assist in the selection and implementation of new technology. Skills typically acquired through related manufacturing experience.
Main duties
Create/Maintain accurate and appropriately detailed methods of manufacture
Create manufacturing standards for methods, processes and procedures
Identify and allocate raw material requirements
Action Engineering Change Notices
Provide support for the selection and implementation of new technology
Actively participates in the company's Health and Safety Policy.
Participates and implements processes that improve Service Quality.
Experience: Related manufacturing experience in oil related industry
Qualifications: HNC Production/Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge/Skills: Detailed Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret engineering data and quality specs
Experience in programming Mazatrol would be an advantage.
