Job Description
Our client, a large manufacturer within the Oil and Gas industry are searching for Material Controller to join their team in Dorset.
Material Controller
Basic Responsibilities will be to control materials from originator to project completion.
General Responsibilities:

*Goods inward Receiving

*Tool Calibration
*Tool Store.
Detail Responsibilities
Project Materials
Receive Requisitions - Check details, check stock against request.
Input data into RMS to initiate order.
Stock
Receive Requisitions - Check details, check stock against request.
Input data into RMS to initiate order.
Maintain agreed stock levels, JIT, and any Kanban arrangements.
Maintain agreed stock levels of CaTS tools stock and rental.
Maintain serial number/History logs for CaTS tools.
Raise stock transfer sheets - generate monthly report.
Documentation QC/QA Procedures
Assist in policing QA/QC Procedures within the materials control environment.
Raise documentation in accordance with QA Procedures concerning:
RMS Purchase Requisitions
RMS Purchase Orders
Goods in landing/inspection
Non conformance notes
Returns notes
Dispatch notes
Concession notes
Production/ Test Route cards
Production Serial number logs and history sheets.
Maintain documentation relating to Tool calibration, to QA Procedures.
Maintain tractability of materials received stored and delivered.
Material Purchasing
Assist Purchasing, Data input into RMS:
Raising Requisitions/orders, Raising reports, receiving goods.
Progress chasing:
Shortages, outstanding orders, part deliveries, wrong deliveries, Quotes.
Assist with accounts invoice enquiries, sub contractor enquiries, supplier enquiries.
Material Kitting
Assist with the raising of Production documentation packs, and material kitting, including raising serial numbers and maintaining the serial number log, for internal and external Production requirements.
Also assist with Development kitting and Operations kitting.
Assist Production
Assist with in house manufacturing, when required and time permitting.
Stores/Warehouse
Maintain safe handling and general health and safety issues within the Stores/warehouse including the COHSH sheets and store.
Keep Stores /warehouse clean & tidy.
Control materials in and out of the Store/warehouse maintaining records for racking number location grid, and associated records using RMS or similar stock control system.
Assist in loading and unloading Lorries, using fork lift.
Maintaining packing area including consumables stock used in the area.
Goods inward inspection / Receiving
Check goods for damage due to bad handling, compliance to drawings/orders.
Raise NCN's, Conc', Returns notes, when necessary.
Maintain goods in landing book and control materials tractability throughout Production/Project Processes.
File documentation for tractability i.e. Certificates of conformity, test certs, delivery notes, metalwork batch number cards, etc…..
Receive goods on RMS and expedite material shortfalls, back orders, late deliveries, part deliveries, and overdue deliveries.
Control material flow into Stores/Warehouse, Project, or Product locations, communicate with originators on material availability and progress.
Dispatch
Control materials packing and labelling, arrange pick up - despatch, raise orders for despatch and maintain RMS in regards to deliveries.
Maintain product history sheets, serial number logs and ensuring documentation is correct and address labelling is correct, and raise despatch note.
In the case of stock being delivered to projects; maintain stock transfer sheets.
Assist with the raising of special delivery documentation requirements such as: Hazardous goods, dangerous goods, commercial invoices.
Tool Store / Calibration
Maintain tool store and control tool calibration records and certs, carry out periodic tool checks for calibration and insulation, arrange for out of date tools to be checked equipment to be calibrated.
