Job Description
CNC machinist is required for busy engineering firm based in south Aberdeen on a permanent basis. UK applicants only. As a CNC setter, Operator you will be responsible for the setting or running of a variety of machines including sliding heads and some Multi Axis and ensuring maximum productivity levels. You will be an experienced Setter, CNC Operator with a proven background in working on sliding head machines and of working to fine tolerances would be a distinct advantage, although not essential for this role. Mazak experience is required. Working with materials of steel and aluminium doing small batch work on both manual and CNC turning and milling, Colchester Fanuc controlled lathes etc.

Job Description
Maintain adequate stock levels of machine tooling and inserts. Carry out daily maintenance and inspections of assigned machines and ensure adequate care is taken with regards to day-to-day working practices. Online Programming of machines Fanuc & Heidenhain controls is advantageous. Select the correct feeds & speeds required for the material grade. Undertake measurement and inspection . Ability to read machining drawings and adhere to routing instructions and operating procedures. Maintain tight tolerances to a range of +/- 0.001.
