Job Description

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of mission critical, complex, stocked and custom oilfield products for use onshore and offshore

As Calibration Technician your main responsibilities will include

Calibration of company and third party equipment

Maintenance and upkeep of calibration test equipment

Maintenance and updating of calibration spreadsheets / procedures

Working with vendors and ordering the necessary parts for repair / stock

Sketch plans for developing jigs, fixtures, instruments, and related nonstandard apparatus.

Modify performance and operation of component parts and circuitry to specifications, using test equipment and precision instruments.

Plan sequence of testing and calibration program for instruments and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and other specifications.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment.

Confer with engineers, supervisor, and other technical workers to assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.

Analyze and convert test data, using mathematical formulas, and report results and proposed modifications.

Disassemble and reassemble instruments and equipment, using hand tools, and inspect instruments and equipment for defects

Education / Qualifications:

Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience:

Previous experience in calibration testing

Key Skills:

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Team player

Customer focus

Understanding of deadline achievements
