Job Description
Your main duties will include:
• Formulation of strategy and business planning for IMO products and services within the region.
• Interfacing with the regions' Customers and internally with the Sales, Engineering, Workshop and Service Departments.
• Developing, controlling and maintaining rental business opportunities for the region.
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how our solutions meet our client's operational needs.
• Working in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Team as the key technical advisor.
• Understanding the use of technical resources regarding down-hole vibration mitigation, ROP enhancement, and borehole integrity issues.
• Interpreting customer operational requirements and preparing sales and rental proposals to meet their needs.
• Conveying customer technical requirements to Project Teams, as well as, Product and Services Managers.
• Providing pre-/post-sales technical assistance and presenting end of well reports and results to the client.
• Liaising and communicating with Customers regarding technical requirements and support and assisting in the continued drive for improvement.
• Liaising regularly with members of the Sales Team and colleagues from a range of departments, R&D, Real-Time Centre, and field operations as well as senior managers.
• Providing technical and supervisory guidance within the department.
• UK and international sales and field visits as required.
• Out of hours support as required.
• Attending and assisting in trade shows and conferences.
• Ensuring professional conduct and communications with all aspects of internal and external operations.
• Assisting in personnel and product development planning and management.
• Providing support and guidance to Sales and Service sections within the department.
• Liaising with Region manager for budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
Competencies You should be self motivated, proficient in MS Office, with excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications You should be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Geology or a relevant Engineering discipline.
Previous experience of the Oil industry is essential.
Although not essential experience in a Sales role or drilling background would be a distinct advantage
