Job Description
Our client is a major Oil & Gas Operating company with a unique offering covering strategic operations worldwide. Employing over 4,000 personnel they operate with a focus on oil sands, conventional exploration and development and unconventional gas
As Senior Subsea Inspector your main responsibilities will include
Familiarisation with the Company Quality Management Strategy, Quality Policy and associated documents
Monitor adherence to the Contractors and Sub Contractors Project Quality Plan
Interface with the IVB at site as required for Verification Scheme Field Inspections
Ensure adherence to the Contractors and Sub Contractors Discipline Inspection and Test Plans
Ensure that all specified Quality Control and Inspection requirements are implemented
Witness Contractor / Sub Contractors Welding Procedure and Welder Qualification activities
Ensure that all fabrication and assembly meets the specification requirements
Ensure that records are suitably endorsed to record witnessed inspections
Ensure that Project Quality Records are compiled progressively
Interface with the Subsea Project Team for all QA/QC related issues
Report on Non Conforming items including preventive and corrective action
Implement site surveillance activities to verify compliance with specification requirements
Day to day quality surveillance of the contractors / sub contractors work including installation and testing
Review of NDE records including radiographs
Structural and pipe work fabrication, welding, testing and coating
Stage and final inspections
Provide inspection and status reports as required
Qualifications & Training
CSWIP / PCN Senior Welding Inspector 3.2 (preferred) or Welding Inspector 3.1 (required)
CSWIP / PCN Radiographic Interpretation (required)
Technical Qualifications HNC, ONC, City & Guilds or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline (preferred)
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Experience in subsea fabrication for the UK Sector of the North Sea, preferably with an Offshore Operator (required)
Experience of working to a UK Verification Scheme for a UK North Sea Project (preferred)
Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
Good presentation, report writing and communication skills
Good time management skills
The position is located in Aberdeen but will require travel to various worldwide & UK locations

This will also involve hands on technical assembly works and inspection in accordance with engineering instructions.
