Job Description

As Workshop Manager your main responsibilities will include
Manage overhead and product budgets.
Development of team, motivate staff to ensure that they fully comply with all statutory and company policies and procedures.
Ensure that suitable resources are available to execute all required activities in a safe and cost effective manner.
Prepare justification for budgets and department improvements within the plant areas within your area.
Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to your team.
Ensure the development of all personnel within your team.
Attend Design Reviews.
Produce reports in a timely manner.
Attend Project Kick off meetings.
Liaise with Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure future work is covered in terms on test equipment.
Periodically attend project meetings
Qualifications:
HNC in Electronic, Engineering.
HNC in Management
Specific Training / Specialist Skills
Completed a recognised apprenticeship
Working knowledge of SAP
IPC Specialist
IOSHH Managing Safely

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Asset Manager for:- Day to day supervision of the onshore workshops and storage yard Assist in the development and implementation of Safe Systems of Work in accordance with the companys policies and procedures Deliver work instructions to the workshop team including Task Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks Complete PMS and HSQE reports as required Ensures all personnel under his control are competent, fully informed and understand our good working practices Provide technical support to the workshop team and third party contractors Implement the PMS as required Assess, review and report on equipment status Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, time keeping and workshop behaviour at all times Custodian of the company vehicle (Van) ensuring that it is maintained and kept clean and the drivers log is in date Continually monitor the performance and the delivery of all workshop team and the complete Personnel Performance Reviews Liaise with HR department on training and disciplinary matters Control the stores and maintain stores and equipment inventories Supervise the loading and off loading of equipment and materials and shipping to offshore sites Workshops security and fire protection. And any other tasks deemed reasonable by management Essential Good communicator and team player Health and Safety awareness Relevant trade/technical qualification Minimum 3 years experience A clean UK driving licence Must be able to pass an UKOOA Medical or already have one.
